A selection of projects where I served as an Art Director, providing design direction, reviewing spec sheets, and managing deadlines.
Comfort Craft is a revamp of existing We R Memory keepers tools with accessibility in mind. We added ergonomic, no slip handles to our top selling Trim & Score Board, larger numbers to the supreme ruler. Other adaptive tools include lighted magnifiers and tweezers, an ergonomic craft knife, and easy to use spring loaded scissors.
I began working with the We R Memory Keepers (now We R Makers) team in 2019, and was promoted to Art Director in 2022. Over my time there I not only built strong product lines, but collaborative relationships as well.
Developing physical products is an exciting challenge that requires designers to become jacks-of all trades. On our team we own our projects from conception through development, packaging, and designing marketing materials. This process ensures constant messaging and knowledge throughout a project and makes each day an exciting new opportunity.
I’ve learned and grown so much in my 5 years working with this team. We proudly rebranded to We R Makers in early 2020 to reflect the changing market and what our brand has become to symbolize in the crafting community. You can learn more about the re-band here.
A selection of patterned papers I designed during my time working on the Pink Paislee team at American Crafts. This collection of over 50 papers provides an excellent overview of my passion for hand lettering, illustration, and pattern design. I worked on each collection from start to finish. Beginning with an moodboard where our team would define the client and target demographic, followed by a period of development where assets where designed, reviewed, and refined. After the collection was complete we would work with printers and production teams in both China and the United States to ensure quality. During this process I developed skills in trend forecasting, illustration, hand lettering, color theory, pattern & textile design, as well as physical product design & production. I gained experience in art direction, collaboration, critique, client presentations, creating and working within a brand guide. I also served as a point of contact for printers and production teams and approved product samples for mass production. The most rewarding aspect of this work was being able to find products that I designed in stores such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joanne, Target, and Walmart.
Each collection was designed in collaboration with the Pink Paislee Team, including Shalece Elynne and Vanessa Herrema.

A series of scrapbooking collections designed in collaboration with celebrity scrapbooker Paige Evans.
I’ve had the honor of designing a collection of printable posters for Amber of Damask Love in celebration of her appearance on NBC’s crafting competition show: Making It.
Each poster highlights a different crafting pun with illustrations and playful typography.
My work on this collection primarily involved collaboration with the mixed media artist Jane Davenport to develop high quality art supplies as well as specialty tools adorned with Davenport’s own artwork. My responsibilities also included working with printers and production teams in both China and the United States to ensure quality.
A selection of greeting cards I designed during my time at SendOutCards where I was responsible for maintaining the greeting card catalog. This involved writing copy for each card, creating illustrations where appropriate, and finding stock photo’s for “photo-drop” cards, where users could upload their photos into the design of the card.
As part of the process I worked closely with web developers and the marketing department to insure each card was loaded correctly onto the website and met the mission and brand guide of the company.
This ongoing project required flexibility and knowledge of various design styles in order to provide variety in the catalog so each user could find an appropriate card to send depending on the situation, and recipient.
A selection of products I designed to accompany the We R Memory Keepers typewriter. Products included labels, notecards, treat bags, notebooks, desktop planners, and patterned paper pad. Art Direction by Rebecca Cross and designed in partnership with Vanessa Herrema
