Hi there, I’m Cassi!

As a teen my dad saw my interest in art and let me use the copy of photoshop on his computer. I was instantly hooked, no, obsessed. From there my love for photoshop soon grew into artistic talent spanning many programs and mediums.

While completing my BFA at Weber State University I accumulated a love for pattern making, one I thought could never lead to a career, but a hobby that would bring me joy. I graduated with resolve to start looking for a job in web design. I didn't even apply for one. The first job I found was for a product designer at American Crafts - where I worked for three years on the Pink Paislee team creating patterns, products, and art supplies.

After a short stint illustrating greeting cards, I realized I missed some of the business aspects of product development. I joined the We R Memory Keepers team in 2019 and realized I really enjoyed the project management role I had taken on. I was having a lot of fun leading meetings, collaborating with different teams, creating spec sheets for venders, and answering team members questions.

It is extremely rewarding to see products I designed in stores, and being used by other makers, however I’m more grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to take on leadership roles. Facilitating those successes and experiences for teammates has proven to be an even more rewarding challenge.

When I’m not designing I love collecting (and winning) board games with my family and friends, reading interiors design blogs, and binging suspense movies. Like everyone I have my strengths and weaknesses. For instance, I am the designated spider remover in my house because I am not afraid. But, I can’t handle any temperature less than 68 degrees so I’m constantly running up the gas bill.
